A little more about me...

I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, and made the big move to New York back in 2009 after wrapping up my undergrad at Grand Valley State University. My first major gig was at BET Networks, where I cut my teeth as a post-producer and video editor. Those early days were a grind, but they taught me the essentials of project management and the importance of beginning with the end in mind.

I’ve always had a passion for being out in the field, so I eventually leveraged my post-production skills to dive into working with cameras, crews, and on-camera talent. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to manage and produce tons of story-driven, promotional, and branded projects for big names like MTV Networks, Chase Bank, Yahoo Studios, Scholastic Inc., and New York Magazine.

In 2013, I founded Wayland Street Films, a video production and creative agency that handles everything from pre-production to post. The next year, I partnered with my alma mater to launch the Wayland Street Films Scholarship for the Arts, helping graduates from Michigan’s urban school districts pursue careers in art, media, or communications.

In 2018, I was honored to be selected as a Fellow in the prestigious Sony Pictures Television Directing Program and the Walt Disney Television Directing Program.
So, what am I doing with all this experience now? For the past three years, I’ve been at Peloton, leading and overseeing the production of daily fitness classes and instructor-led programs for the strength platform, which has grown to over 40 million annual workouts. I also execute multimedia promotional campaigns, manage a roster of 12 fitness instructors, spearhead tentpole ERG programming, and mentor a team of junior producers and staff.

In my free time, you’ll probably find me finishing up a Spartan race or roaming around the city with my film camera, snapping photos of good food or unwitting New Yorkers on the street.

Either way, I like to focus on the unique ways people and brands show up, the stories they tell online, and how communities are built over time.
